Radon diagnosis: measure and understand your building
Radon comes mainly from the ground and can accumulate inside buildings. We measure its presence, analyse its distribution and explain the useful next steps, from diagnosis to checks after mitigation.
We also carry out recognised long-term measurements through our Stop-Radon service, which appears on the FOPH list of recognised radon measurement services.

When to arrange a radon diagnosis
- You live or work in rooms in contact with the ground.
- You are renovating or converting a basement into living space.
- You are buying or selling a building.
- A previous measurement found a high concentration.
Understanding the building
A continuous electronic measuring device is installed in each room in contact with the ground. It records changes in radon concentration, generally over one week. These records allow us to compare rooms, observe variations over time and identify possible entry or transfer routes.
The report presents the results, their interpretation and recommended measures. Where necessary, we propose a mitigation solution suited to the building.
Short diagnosis and recognised measurement: two purposes
A diagnosis lasting around one week helps us understand the situation and prepare solutions. It is a short, non-recognised measurement: it does not determine the annual average and does not replace a recognised long-term measurement.
We carry out recognised long-term measurements through our Stop-Radon service, listed by the FOPH under the exact French wording “Service de mesure: Stop-Radon”, with “Contact: Robert Gaisch”. This recognition covers dwellings, schools and nurseries, workplaces and radon-exposed workplaces, in accordance with the applicable protocols.
For dwellings, recognised measurement follows the FOPH protocol: at least 90 days during the heating season, from October to March; a full year is recommended. Other building uses follow their specific protocols. Measurement duration and the time needed to deliver the report are specified separately in the quotation.
Do you already have results?
Send us your report, the measurement dates and the rooms concerned. We assess whether the results can be used to prepare an intervention or whether further investigation is needed.
From diagnosis to mitigation
We design and carry out work suited to the building, then check its effectiveness. Long-term dosimeter measurement completes the verification under the applicable protocol.
