Asbestos and pollutant surveys in the canton of Schaffhausen

In Schaffhausen, the Intercantonal Laboratory publishes cantonal guidance on construction waste and excavation. Preparing these streams separately helps define the investigations needed.

We work throughout Switzerland. State your preferred language for discussions and the report when enquiring.

Describe my project
01

Plan disposal before tenders

The authority recommends a disposal concept during the project phase when substantial waste quantities are expected. It serves as a basis for tenders and contractor agreements. Material information must therefore be available early enough for these steps.

02

Distinguish excavation from the building

The documentation provides a separate procedure for excavated material, with a concept stating quantities and destinations. An excavation declaration does not describe pollutants in building coverings or installations: each document’s scope must remain explicit.

03

Preparing Schaffhausen documents

  • Attach deconstruction and excavation plans where applicable.
  • State the tender schedule and available reports.
  • Separate building material and excavated soil estimates.
