Your project, in your region
Asbestos and pollutant surveys in the canton of Bern
We work across the canton of Bern, in both French- and German-speaking regions. The cantonal guidance distinguishes the pollutant survey, disposal plan and evidence retained after the work.
We work throughout Switzerland. State your preferred language for discussions and the report when enquiring.
Describe my projectSurvey and disposal plan: two connected documents
Bern’s guidance requires pollutant investigations particularly for alterations and deconstruction of pre-1990 buildings, and for contamination from use regardless of age. A disposal plan is required if more than 200 m³ of waste is likely or pollution is suspected.
What the municipality checks
The municipality checks the author’s qualifications, analysis results, whether the survey covers the work area and the disposal routes. It may request disposal evidence after completion.
Preparing your Bern application
- Mark the exact work area on the plans.
- Separate deconstruction materials from soil and excavation material in the waste estimate.
- Attach existing reports and municipal requests for additional information.
