Asbestos and pollutant surveys in Geneva

In Geneva, preparation is not limited to the building permit application. The age of affected elements and planned work on paints help determine which substances to investigate.

We work throughout Switzerland. State your preferred language for discussions and the report when enquiring.

Describe my project
01

Investigations even without a building permit

The canton requires asbestos and PCB checks in areas affected by the work that date from before 1991, whether or not the site requires authorisation. It also requires lead checks before work on paints applied before 2006.

02

The hazardous substances declaration

For work requiring authorisation, the conclusions are entered in the declaration accompanying the application. It is signed by the applicant, owner or their representative, not the surveyor. A project change may require additional investigations in newly affected areas.

03

Preparing plans for your Geneva site

  • Distinguish retained, removed and altered elements on the plans.
  • State known renovation dates and dates of affected paints.
  • Attach existing surveys and identify the representative handling the application.
